Indian Valley Faith Fellowship (IVFF), founded in 1968, is located in Harleysville, Pennsylvania, approximately 30 miles NW of Philadelphia. IVFF is a member of the Alliance of Mennonite Evangelical Congregations (AMEC).
The church has a Mennonite heritage; however, many of the members do not have a Mennonite background. Our congregation averages 165 in attendance each week. Twenty-six percent of our members are above 60 years of age, 44% are between the ages of 40 – 60,
and 30% are below 40 years of age. Additionally, there exists a very strong junior and senior high youth program, averaging 20-30 on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Our Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults oversees this program.
Indian Valley Faith Fellowship is an active, family-oriented congregation. Within the church there are ministries for all ages. Outreach ministry includes New Friends Nursery School and a variety of mission projects.
Major decisions and constitutional changes are voted on and affirmed by the congregation. The congregation is led by Spiritual Council which deals with the spiritual health of the church. Church Council is responsible for decisions related to financial
and facility management.
Sunday mornings consist of a worship service that blends both contemporary praise songs and traditional hymns to complement the Biblical teaching offered in the sermon. Children’s Church is provided for children four years old through second grade. The
worship service is preceded by a Sunday School hour for all ages. Celebration of the Lord’s Supper occurs four times a year.
We believe that salvation comes by grace through faith. We believe that human effort plays no part in our salvation but is the result of a genuinely regenerate life. Our faith is in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. He is God who became
man ultimately to become the eternal sacrifice for all who believe in Him.
Belief in Jesus Christ as the atoning sacrifice for our sins satisfies the wrath of God the Father and causes us to be new creations. At the same time we are indwelled by God’s Holy Spirit who is our covenant of eternal life. For further information on
the statement of doctrine see AMEC website:
